General

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

TEDxUniversityofCapeCoast is an independently organized TEDx event held at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. We bring together thinkers, innovators, and changemakers to share ideas worth spreading with our community. Since 2013, we have hosted multiple conferences featuring speakers from diverse backgrounds including academia, entrepreneurship, arts, and social activism.

Our 2026 conference theme is "Kintsugi: The Beauty in Imperfections." Inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, this theme explores resilience, transformation, and finding beauty in our imperfections and life's challenges.

TEDxUniversityofCapeCoast is organized by a dedicated team of students, alumni, and professionals from the University of Cape Coast community. Our team includes the licensee, curators, operations managers, communications specialists, and volunteers who work together to create an exceptional experience.
